Dear visitors, in 2024 the reconstruction of the Litomy\u0161l castle continues and unfortunately we do not have a suitable space from which to observe the events on the replacement main stage of Smetana Litomy\u0161l undisturbed (and undisturbing). <\/span><\/p>\n

Families with children and students<\/strong> are therefore advised to<\/strong> take advantage of the freely accessible programme of the Festival Gardens, which<\/strong> also includes pure classics<\/span><\/strong>, or<\/strong> any of the 66th Smetana’s Litomy\u0161l shows designed for families. Younger children will be introduced to the world of the opera by puppet Hurv\u00ednek, while the bigger ones can dare to see the real Bartered Bride, performed especially for families in the afternoon. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Without the possibility of slipping in and out unobtrusively, but at a reasonable price, you can get tickets at the Friends of Free Seats Club. Becoming a member may also be a good substitute for the Classics on Trial, which is not available this year. All you have to do is keep an eye out for “last-minute” deals on tickets for a song and apply for tickets when the time is right. Come and try it out!<\/strong> For adults with children aged 6 and over and students up to the age of 26 who are still unsure about their relationship to classical music, we offer discounted tickets for standing in the second arcade of the castle courtyard (in 2024, in the Festival Hall Grandstand). Here, you can enjoy the entire program or only part of it \u2013 moreover, the second arcade is also privy to a fascinating view of the festival\u2019s backstage area.<\/p>\n

Standing tickets (for 100 CZK) can be booked from May 2024<\/strong> at info@smetanovalitomysl.cz<\/a> or by calling 461 616 070. After the festival has begun, they\u2019re also available at the information stand in the Festival Gardens. Capacity is limited. Visitors can meet at the information booth in the Monastery Gardens 20 minutes before the show (where you can also pay). With Give Classical a Try, you can even visit Smetana\u2019s Litomy\u0161l performances without high heels or a bow tie, although you may find that donning elegant clothes also conjures up a festive mood.<\/p>\n

With Classic on Trial you may visit all the performances held in the Festival Hall.
