Young dancers of the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich present a project in which the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and Gustav Mahler meets contemporary dance. On the stage of the second castle courtyard, audiences will experience Bach\u2019s Orchestral Suite No. 3<\/em> choreographed by John Neumeier, Mahler\u2019s cycle Songs of a Wayfarer<\/em> choreographed by Ji\u0159\u00ed Kyli\u00e1n, and the more recent work In the Forest<\/em> with music by French composer Camille P\u00e9pin, choreographed by Xin Peng Wang. Marco Goecke\u2019s Devil\u2019s Kitchen<\/em>, which concludes the evening, is based on the music of the legendary band Pink Floyd. To their almost hypnotic rock sound, Goecke adds a language of movement through which the energy of the dance company interacts with songs such as Wish You Were Here<\/em> or Dogs. <\/p>\n\n
