“My motto is and will be: God, love, country! And that alone leads to a happy goal!…”

Antonín Dvořák, 1884

One of the world’s most important chamber ensembles will appear at our festival after a series of concerts in the USA in March and an Asian tour in May, and will perform three major works by jubilarians of the Year of Czech Music

Josef Suk:
Meditation on the Old Czech Chorale “Saint Wenceslas” Op. 35

Bedřich Smetana:
String Quartet no. 1 E minor “From My Life”

Antonín Dvořák:
String Quartet no. 11 in C major, Op. 61

Due to the golden color of the laminate material that dominates the room’s design – which includes a “tunable” ceiling – the castle’s riding hall has been given the nickname “the Amber Chamber.”
