Giving young singers the chance to shine on the big stage of Smetana’s Litomyšl is part of our festival’s mission. Following on from the Smetana Litomyšl Opera Incubator project, soprano Kateřina Kněžíková opens the door to the world of Czech opera for them. Together they will present excerpts from all of Bedřich Smetana’s completed operas and offer an encounter with the richness and variety of his operatic work.
