A comic opera of two acts to a libretto by Emanuel František Züngel.
The fifth opera was composed by Bedřich Smetana in 1873-74. The premiere took place at the Provisional Theatre just 150 years ago, on 27<sup>th</sup> March 1874 under the baton of the composer. The Two Widows was performed twice in the first opera year of Smetana’s Litomyšl in 1949.
Presented in Czech with Czech and English surtitles.
The multifunctional hall was nominated for the European Union's Mies van der Rohe Award for Contemporary Architecture in 2007.
