“Sold Out” Doesn’t Always Mean “Hopeless”
There tends to be great interest in tickets to Smetana’s Litomyšl, and audience capacity often cannot meet demand. Nevertheless, certain programs appear to be sold out shortly after the start of ticket sales, when this isn’t always true in reality. There tends to be twice as many reservations than are claimed – for example, multiple members of the same family may try to obtain tickets online, but all their successful reservations are not subsequently used. Reservations that aren’t claimed are gradually entered back into the system. Sometimes it’s also possible that the audience capacity is enlarged or unused reservations for sponsors and honored guests are made available.

the “watchdog” tracking system
You can watch for tickets that have become available for your selected performance by using the so-called „Watchdog“ tacking system. You can place your request on the waiting list by using the Watchdog settings on the online shop. When the requested tickets become available, the first person on the waiting list is given an automatic reservation valid for 48 hours and is informed of this by email. If they don’t purchase the tickets within this time frame, the tickets are automatically offered to the next in line.
komisní prodej
Poslední nadějí pro návštěvu vybraného pořadu je přijít před jeho začátkem na místo konání. Šedesát minut před začátkem se totiž uvolňují do prodeje poslední nevyzvednuté rezervace a jsou k dispozici ve „večerní pokladně“. Navíc zde – buď přímo osobně nebo v komisi přes pokladnu – nabízí téměř vždy vstupenky lidé, kteří se pořadu z nejrůznějších důvodů nemohou zúčastnit. V případě neúspěchu pak může být náhradním programem návštěva Festivalových zahrad. Všechno zlé je k něčemu dobré a večer ještě zdaleka nemusí být zkažený!
